“As women, we have come to distrust that power which rises from our deepest and nonrational knowledge. We have been warned against it all our lives by the male world, which values this depth of feeling enough to keep women around in order to exercise it in the service of men, but which fears this same depth too much to examine the possibility of it within themselves. So women are maintained at a distant/inferior position to be psychically milked, much the same way ants maintain colonies of aphids to provide a life-giving substance for their masters.”
body as a source of knowing
When we sense that something isn’t working we can feel stuck, numb or helpless. That’s often because we’ve lost connections with the quiet, subtle knowing that is tugging us towards the right next step.
We get caught up in the voice that tells us we’re stupid and should have figured it out by now.
Waiting for us is this other voice that holds vast knowledge, senses your deep connection and belong and knows how to live aligned with your deepest values. A source of integrity and wholeness.
I host small, intimate gatherings for women committed to living lives of presence in action. Through the group we learn to serve as allies to one another and mutually support and benefit from each other’s knowledge and work. Women come to build relationships and networks, share knowledge and support one another. This is space where women can learn and grow and leave feeling more empowered to take on whatever is next. Grounded in experiential and embodied practices - we relearn relational presence, and our sense of connection and belonging within the living world.
“One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it.”
